From the signboard at World of Wings:
“The Boa constrictor is a large, heavy-bodied species of snake with arrow-shaped heads from the family Boidae. They can be found in North, Central, and South America, as well as some islands in the Carribean. Depending on the locality and availability of suitable prey, boas can reach lengths of anywhere from 3 to 13 feet with the females being larger than males.
Anatomy: Boa constrictors also have two lungs, a smaller (non-functional) left and enlarged (functional) right lung to better fit their elongated shape, unlike many snake species which have completely lost the left lung.”
